Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
These terms apply to all purchases made through shinypeople.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.
About us
Shiny People is a fine jewellery business based in London, UK. Contact us at hello@weareshinypeople.com.
Orders
When you place an order, you’re making an offer to purchase. We’ll confirm acceptance by email when your order is dispatched. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example, if a product is out of stock or there’s an error in pricing.
Pricing
All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Prices may change at any time, but changes won’t affect orders already accepted.
Payment
We accept major credit/debit cards and other payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken at the time of order.
Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe shown on the product page. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Risk passes to you on delivery. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
Returns & refunds
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it (cooling-off period under UK consumer law), unless the item is bespoke or custom-made. Items must be returned in unworn, original condition. Full details are in our Returns Policy.
Bespoke & custom orders
Custom and bespoke pieces are non-refundable once production has begun, except in the case of a manufacturing defect. We’ll be clear about this before you confirm a bespoke order.
Product descriptions
We do our best to accurately describe and photograph our jewellery. Natural gemstones vary in colour, inclusion, and character — this is part of what makes them special, not a defect. If your piece looks a little different to the photo, that’s intentional.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — photography, copy, design — belongs to Shiny People. Please don’t reproduce it without permission.
Limitation of liability
We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our liability is limited to the value of your order. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version will always be on this page.
